Doodles for Dollars

A local cartoonist who publishes a weekly cartoon in the local newspaper inspired Forster-Tuncurry Quota volunteers to draw out his talent for another GREAT IDEA for fund-raising.

The Quota club in New South Wales, Australia, organized a cocktail evening in a local community building and invited the cartoonist to exhibit his works. The artist spoke to the crowd and sold his wares, offering one special cartoon for the club to raffle. The following day, the exhibit was opened to the public and attracted a number of visitors to raise more than Aus.$1,600 for Quota service to Seasons for Growth, a grief counseling program for children.
