Quota International of Orrville, Ohio, USA

Quota International of Orrville embarqed on a “Cops ‘n Kids” program this fall by hosting a luncheon for Community Leaders to introduce the program and get ideas for serving the community under the “Cops ‘n Kids” umbrella. We have had an AWESOME response to the program and have experienced a busy couple of months for our six members …and we aren’t finished yet! We began with a small event at Trinity United Methodist Church in Orrville for their “junior church” program. Their theme was “God’s Law”. An Orrville Police Department officer attended the event and talked about the similarities between our laws and God’s Law. Quotarians distributed books, bookmarks, and a treat. Last weekend, we presented $500 each to the Orrville Area Boys & Girls Club (Pictures with Santa proceeds and some from our Community Outreach Fund) for their Christmas Party. Quotarians also organized and helped 25 children in the “Shop with a Cop” program wrap gifts for loved ones upon returning from a shopping trip with Police Officers, Dispatchers, City Officials and Fire Fighters. Each child was able to choose a book to take home and received a “Cops ‘n Kids” bookmark. Quota International of Orrville also donated $500 to purchase perishables for the Orrville Fire Fighters Annual Food Drive. Next weekend, we will supply over 300 books to the food drive to be distributed to every child being served through fourth grade. Just wait until you see what we have planned for 2010!
