Quota Darwin presented 5 cheques to needy organisations and individuals from the Northern Territory community last month at a Quota Grants presentation night. During the sunset function the members and guests were entertained by the Grey Panthers dance troop and heard about the recipients such as Riding for the Disabled, Girl Guides, Autism NT, Katherine Women’s Crisis Centre and a handicapped child called Gabriela. President Jeannie said “It made us all so proud to be a Quotarian to be able to help such great people”. The District Governor Marcia Goulevitch and Lieutenant Governor Darlene Chaffey planned their visit from Queensland Australia to the Top End of the country, to assist with the presentations. On the night the Governor also presented District pins to new members Helen Stuart and Carolyn Robinson and Quota service pins to – Di Armstrong (20 years) – Coral Reichlmeier (30 years) and – Dagmar Brautigam (35 years).
