Quota International of Weyburn
Weyburn Caravan driver Sandra Montgomery helps a wheelchair client catch a ride downtown from her home on the south side of the city. Clients who are disabled are able to catch rides to medical, financial or personal appointments, sports events, family reunions, weddings, funerals and community events. This service allows many people to remain independent either in their own home or in a care-home facility. The Weyburn Caravan is committed to providing transportation of disabled persons in Weyburn, Saskatchewan, Canada and surrounding area. The service originated in 1978 with a small van and was incorporated in the early 1990 when a larger bus was purchased. Service clubs, including Quota International from the Weyburn area joined at that time and each have a representative on the society’s board of directors to oversee the finances and direction of the Caravan. In addition to having a Quota member on the Caravan’s board of directors and taking it turn chairing the board, Quota International donates $1000 per year for the operating costs of the society. Quota International of Weyburn is proud to support this service in our community.
