Quota International of Hermitage
Quota International of Hermitage, PA was chartered in 2003 and as a new club they are achieving the goals that they set forth to be active in the Shenango Valley, in Mercer County. Goals have been achieved with the help of the Midwestern Intermediate Unit IV of Pennsylvania which provides educational and administrative leadership, programs, services, and resources which enhance the education of all individuals to meet the changing needs of that county. Through Wendy Kinnear, the Homeless Initiative, QI of Hermitage has distributed over seven hundred pairs of underwear to boys and girls in its very first drive. The project is chaired by Sandy Joseph and was enthusiastically embraced by its club membership of 22 members and extended to become a year long program with drop off locations at a local bank, furniture store, and dress store. Hermitage Quotarian, Carole Giroski, gave this project the name of “Gutchie for Kidz” because the word “gutchies” in Pittsburg slang means underwear!
