Gail LeCrone — QI of Altoona, PA
Date of Death: April 4, 2009
QI of Altoona, PA is mourning the loss of one of their most loved and valued members. Gail LeCrone, a thirty year member of Quota, was tragically killed in a car accident on April 4, 2009. Also lost in the accident were her husband Fred and their only son, Fred Jr. Gail was a past Quota president (twice!), 1985-1987 and again in 1995-1996. After retiring from the family business, LeCrone Transfer and Storage, she went on to work as a medical technologist for many years. She was a very active member of her church, Grace United Methodist Church, a member of the American Society of Clinical Pathologists, a volunteer at Contact Altoona, a former board member of the United Methodist Children's Home in Mechanicsburg, PA and a current board member of the Blair County Miracle League. Gail was the true example of what Quota stands for. She shared from her heart in everything she did. She was the poster child for community service, reminding us all that no matter how busy our lives are, we can find the time to help others, a true 'pay it forward' attitude. But Gail's greatest joy was her family and her five grandchildren. No one could ask for a better friend. Her service legacy lives on in her daughter Sue, a member of QI of Altoona, and her 13-yr old granddaughter Tasia, who has been an honory member of our club since she was 6 months old. Gail touched so many lives and will be missed by countless friends. We are all better for having known her.
